Jessica gave this page (an older one of hers) a more handmade look by hand-drawing and cutting out a scallop that is obviously not perfect. The same is true of the circles in the center of the photo. All of this lends a more organic and funky look to the page. Try this on your next project, rather than using scallop scissors or circle punches.
Veronica likes things very lined up and “perfect” so for her, mixing lowercase and uppercase was her take on embracing imperfection. Leaving the centers in on two of the letters also helps keep the page from looking “too perfect”.
